Messing around with colors. I need to break the mold and start experimenting more freely with strange color combinations and stuff.

I drew it with an insect because... I love those pictures with things that don't belong there, especially giant insects. And that is a "tijereta" (something like scissor-ette, in english). They come out in the summer and love hiding in your houses, they're EVERYWHERE. Vicious creatures.

Well, I'm back, and this time I present to you: Eva Silva Paragorica, from LittleBigPlanet 2. She's a major character that helps you throughout the game. She's some kind of nurse/medic and she has her own asylum in the game, which consists on foliage, plants and bugs, most of the time.

It was fun drawing her, I like the design and the fact that she is... well... an apple.

I learned something new by doing this: Textures make everything look 2 times better! I'm going to have to use them more often, haha.

She is Akemi Homura, from an anime called Puella Magi Madoka Magica. If you like anime, you should totally watch it... if you don't... welp.

And, in the last entry... about needing more cute girls... I was talking about drawing them, not about actual little girls becoming users (I'm not a pedophile hahaha). My followers are all already cute, anyway. (◡‿◡✿)

I actually like it, and I was a bit tempted to draw him with a big moustache... but I think is ok like this.

De hecho, me gusta, y estuve un poco tentada a dibujarlo con un gran bigote... pero creo que está bien así.

Why? Because it's a zombie. You can't lose with zombies, can you? Also, I'm excited because tomorrow is the release of the second season of The Walking Dead over here! Hell Yeah! I love that show.

I wanted to make it more 90's but it ended up looking kind of hipster, haha. I think it needs more contrast, but whatever.  Also... are there skateboarding zombies? I wouldn't be surprised if there was a movie about them, heh.

This is a friend's request for his Youtube show "Indienosaurio", which is about indie videogames. He asked me to draw another friend ("uncle Retro") riding Indienosaurio.
I wanted to make it like Super Mario World because... well, SMW rules.

The program is in spanish so, "sorry" for all our english readers (you don't miss much anyways. haha). But it's helpful if you want to practice spanish!
No, nevermind... Actually, It's not a good idea to learn from chilean spanish... Sometimes, even I don't understand what some people say.

Este es un pedido de un amigo para su programa online de Youtube "Indienosaurio", que trata sobre videojuegos indie. Me pidió dibujar a otro amigo ("tío Retro") montando a Indienosaurio.

Traté de hacerlo como Super Mario World porque... bueno, SMW rules.

El programa se trata de analizar este tipo de videojuegos (gratis y pagados), un poco de conversación y cosas random. Así que, visítenlo, quizás se encuentren con buenos juegos.

Así que... ¿recuerdan que dije que iba a estar tomando pedidos? Bueno, dejen sus sugerencias y escogeré la que más me guste. Si no los elijo no se preocupen, estaré haciendo esto seguido. :)

I was messin' around with some brushes, and I drew some good ol' Chichi (Milk) from Dragon Ball. The best wife an unemployed, irresponsible husband with a tendency to absenteeism could ask for. Who hasn't watched Dragon Ball?

There were so many useless woman characters, except for Bulma and, maybe, N° 18. Anyway, I liked the design of all of them!

Welp. Here's a question for you. Do you think Goku actually loved Chichi? Remember, she married him when Goku didn't even know what "marriage" meant, she probably conceived Gohan without consensual sex too, like a boss.

I had some problems with the pose, and the outcome; but that's the purpose of the blog, to get better (hopefully).

Experimentando con algunos brushes dibujé a la siempre buena Chichi (Milk) de Dragon Ball. La mejor esposa que un papá ausente y un esposo cesante podría pedir. ¿Quién no ha visto Dragon Ball?

Había muchos personajes femeninos inútiles en Dragon Ball, excepto por Bulma y, quizás, N°18. Como sea, me gustaba el diseño de todas!

Welp. Aquí hay una pregunta para ustedes. ¿Ustedes creen que Goku amaba realmente a Chichi? Recuerden que se ella se casó con Goku cuando él ni siquiera sabía lo que significaba "matrimonio", probablemente también concibió a Gohan sin sexo consensual, like a boss.

Tuve algunos problemas con la pose y el resultado final, pero ese es el propósito del blog; mejorar (espero).

"Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?"

Yesterday I went to to see the cinema re-release of  Back to the Future, which was made in full HD. I love this movie but I never had the chance to see it in the cinema (I hadn't even been born yet). For some reason, the release was reeeeally delayed here in Chile... it came out like a week ago, or something, and yesterday was the last day in the theater. In other countries it was released in 2010... Am I rite?

I couldn't help but draw a little sketch of Marty (also, I didn't really know what to draw). This is my first attempt at drawing a more "cartoony" thing, and I think it came out well.

Ayer fui al cine a ver el re-estreno de Back to the Future, el cual fue hecho en full HD. Me encanta esta película, pero nunca tuve la experiencia de verla en el cine (ni siquiera había nacido aún). Por alguna razón el estreno fue muuuuy retrasado acá en Chile. Salió hace como una semana atrás, o algo así, y ayer era el último día. En otros países fue estrenada en el 2010, ¿cierto?

No pude evitar dibujar un pequeño sketch de Marty (además de que realmente no sabía qué otra cosa dibujar). Es mi primer intento de dibujar algo mas caricaturesco y creo que salió bien.

Guess what? Earlier today, Valve released the free DLC of Portal 2! More coop levels and leaderboards. I just needed an excuse to replay the game because I already fully cleared it and, even though the game is perfect, I'm a little lazy when it comes to replaying games that I already finished.

So yeah... I made this to commemorate this day! Hahah Nah... basically, I made it because my boyfriend and I love this game and the coop was too much fun. I use Atlas and he uses P-body... I wanted to use P-body, though (and he wanted to use Atlas) but, for some reason, the designated character is selected at random and you're not given the option to re-select.

This was a collaboration, by the way! He helped me with the animation and the Photoshop mumbo jumbo... that's why it looks awesome!

Minisamus

So, I was looking at the artwork of Metroid for the NES/Famicom the other day, and I couldn't help but draw some chibi Samus. The japanese manual is awesome, as well!
In my mind, it had much better colors, and a better harmony, but it didn't come out as expected. Color palettes are like rocket science for me. Hahah.

Speaking of minisamus, I remembered this fangame called Minitroid, which is really awesome. It takes the old school Metroid games we all know but with a chibi Samus instead. Awesome? Awesome.
The demo is free, so you should definitely give it a try (the download link is in the video)

Estaba viendo el artwork del Metroid de NES/Famicom el otro día y no pude evitar dibujar una chibi Samus. Tenía en mente mejores colores y una mejor armonía, pero no puedo hacerlo. Las paletas de colores son como ciencia espacial para mi. Hahah.

Hablando de minisamus, recordé un fangame llamado Minitroid que es bastante awesome. Tomando la esencia clásica del Metroid old school que todos conocemos pero con una chibi Samus. Awesome? Awesome.
